Q: Who can Enter? A: Entries may be submitted by any company or individual involved in the creation or production of the work.
There are no time constraints on the work being submitted - as long as it is currently in use.
Q: Is the AGDA competition just for people and companies located in the United States? A: No. Submitting firms and/or creatives are not required to be located in the United States to enter. However, all submissions must be currently in use by a business, institution, individual,
nonprofit group, etc., doing business in the United States of America.
Q: How is my work judged?
A: Judging is based on
• concept—is it a good idea? was the work original? • execution—technical skills involved, presentation. • appropriateness—how effective is the work? does it communicate well?
Our panel of judges includes a variety of design/marketing/advertising experts i.e. past winners of American Graphic Design & Advertising, college level instructors, and working
professionals that are involved in the business of creativity on a daily basis. All
entrants’ personal information is hidden from the judges so that the “playing field is
even.” Total scores are compiled and tabulated.
Q: What if I win? A: All winners receive two personalized Certificates of Merit per winning entry. Winners will be given a personalized page on the AGDA webite which will showcase winning entries to thousands of visitors each week. Winners are also provided a direct link to their own website. Best of category winners receive the AGDA award free. An alternative award is available for purchase by all AGDA winners.
Q: What types of digital files are accepted?
A: 300 ppi .eps, .tiff, pdf, or .jpeg files are acceptable.
Q: How do I pay for my entries?
A: A check is always welcome! We accept plastic too. Simply include the Master Entry Form with your payment in an envelope marked “Entry Fees” when you send your submissions. Contact us if you have further questions.
