A noted authority on the subjects of graphic design, logo design, and corporate branding, Dave produced his first book on logo design in 1972, and has since created more than 100 books in those fields. He is the biggest-selling editor/author in the history of graphics books. Dave has a varied background which includes founding an advertising agency that quickly qualified for AAAA membership. Soon after, he won his first Clio Award; he would go on to be honored by the Clios ten more times. He also worked in television, writing and producing 700 commercials. After he founded a TV production company in 1982, his work appeared on PBS and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He won seven Emmy Awards for work he wrote and/or produced. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, Dave also received a master's degree in advertising from the Ohio University School of Journalism. In 1998, he graduated from the three-year OPM (Owner/President Management) program at the Harvard Business School. Deciding that his lifelong accomplishments have earned him a place in the sun, Dave now resides in Sanibel, Florida (beach front!) and spends his “free” time developing documentaries on socially-relevant and humorous topics—sometimes within the same film.

Jeff Fisher, author of "Identity Crisis!: 50 redesigns that transformed stale identities into successful brands" (HOW Books, 2007), is the Engineer of Creative Identity for the Portland-based firm Jeff Fisher LogoMotives. A 30-year design veteran, he has been recognized with over 600 regional, national and international design awards (including 27 American Corporate Identity honors) for his identity design efforts and is featured in over 100 books about logos, the design business, and small business marketing. Graphic Design USA magazine named Fisher one of the design industry "People to Watch in 2009." Fisher often writes articles about design topics for industry publications, webzines, blogs and other resources. In addition, he is a nationally-recognized speaker; making numerous presentations each year to conference audiences, design organizations, design schools, universities and business groups. His first book, "The Savvy Designer's Guide to Success" was released in 2004, and has been re-released as a PDF on CD. Stephens began his career in the field of visual creativity as staff
photographer for Creativity 29, an annual international
advertising/design competition. It became quickly evident that his
talent was multi-faceted and he was approached to contribute to book
layout with subsequent work being published by Harper Design
International and Collins Design. Endowed with a natural eye for
design, over the next nine years Tony broadened his graphics portfolio
with a large variety of print media including, but not limited to,
logos, stationery, brochures, & t-shirts. Other professional achievements encompass the position of Creativity Awards judge, principal at Designs on You!, owner of American Graphic Design & Advertising, as
well co-editor of “The Big Book of Green Design” to
be published by Collins Design and distributed by HarperCollins Publishers in 2009.

Suzanna
MW Stephens has been principal of Designs on You! for over sixteen
years. An ever-evolving creative studio, Designs on You! offers graphic
design and editorial services but has also created and sold original
jewelry, one-of-a-kind garments, personal stationery packages, handmade
books, and various fiber arts. Suzanna specializes in book
design and layout with over seventy-five volumes in her portfolio, many
published by Collins Design, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers and books about Appalachia for the Jesse Stuart Foundation. She and business-partner husband, Anthony, are co-owners of American Graphic Design & Advertising, an annual graphics competition now in its 25th
edition; London Books, producer of corporate history and anniversary
books; and the semi-annual, international Logo competition. In 1993, Suzanna received her BFA in Graphic Design, graduating from
Marshall University summa cum laude. (The extra tassel on her cap
seemed important at the time, but not a single client has asked about
her grade point average since.) She’s sometimes invited to guest
lecture to design classes at Marshall University, and recently taught a
course on the Graphics of Communication there. Stephenses (or is that Stephensi?),
Suzanna and Anthony, live in a ninety-year old,
three-story+basement home in frequent need of loving repair, where they
share seven children, ages 8 - 27.

Rodney C. Williams, founder of RCW Communication Design Inc. (RCW Inc.), has had more than 35 years of experience working in the visual communications field. RCW Inc. is a full service graphic communications company whose purpose is to solve communications problems in the most conceptual, cost effective and timely manner. As the President, it is his responsibility to develop the philosophy, business marketing and client direction for the company. Rodney’s career began when he relocated from Atlanta, GA to New York City, NY to work for the McCall Pattern Company (associated with McCall magazine) as a past-up artist. His next big move was to Chicago, IL. to work for OUI Magazine, a Playboy publication. He went on to accept a position as Associate Art Director of Chicago Magazine. Rodney then accepted the position of Art Director of Science 80 - 86 magazine (a new popular science magazine published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science). Throughout their short history, Science 80 – 86 was a three-time winner of the National Magazine Award as well as won over 70 design awards. Incorporated in April of 1987, RCW Inc. has maintained a strong track record of producing award winning visual communications for organizations that range from the National Institutes of Health / National Cancer Institute; The Institute for Genomic Research; Smithsonian Institution; Industrial Bank, Internal Revenue Service; NAACP; The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture, United Negro College Fund; United States Army to the United States Agency for International Development. Often, Rodney gives talks to the communications industry.
